It's A Wonderful Life

I love this film, I'm a huge fan of James Stewart. If you haven't seen it, watch it.
I drew this from pausing the film on TV, using a ink pen and watercolour.  I debated whether I should colour and decided leaving it in greys.  Maybe I will do it again in colour and imagine what Mary Bailey would have painted it.

Illustration Friday: Moustache

I visited The British Museum recently and found these items that made me think of this weeks theme.
They are cast bronze masks representing moustachioed male faces buried around 50-20 BC and found in a rich cremation burial at Welwyn Hertfordshire.  They're tiny, probably 5cm maybe 1.5inches tall.

Illustration Friday: Together

It's been a busy couple of weeks.  I went to Centre Parcs to celebrate our wedding anniversary, had an amazing time holding eagle owl and relaxing in the spa.

Well here is my contribution to this weeks theme, Together...

Illustration Friday: Totem

I was finding this weeks theme difficult and then I found a sketch that I did years ago.  I think it suits quite well.
Totem: a natural object or animal that is believed by a particular society to have spiritual significance- oxford english dictionary.
